Paula Branam is a student doula with Bright Blessings Birth Services and a Student Doula member of the Doula Alliance of Arkansas.
Paula brings more than 20 years of experience in education into her work with growing families, including about a decade of one-on-one support for students with special needs from preschool through high school.
After a long career centered on children, families, and practical support, Paula felt called into a new chapter. She relocated from Northern Michigan to Arkansas and is now training as a student doula with the goal of becoming an Arkansas Certified Community-Based Doula. For her, this work is a continuation of the same lifelong commitment: showing up for families during moments that ask for patience, steadiness, and care.
As a mother of three and grandmother of three, Paula understands that welcoming a baby affects the whole family. Her approach to doula care includes support for the birthing parent, baby, fathers, partners, siblings, grandparents, and the wider circle of people learning how to make room for a new life.
Paula has also spent many years involved in children’s activities and community programs, including 4-H and Awana. She brings calm presence, lived family experience, and a practical educator’s eye for helping people feel less overwhelmed and more prepared.
Paula is a Student Doula member of the Doula Alliance of Arkansas and is studying toward Arkansas CCBD certification.
