Renee Bertot is a student / apprentice doula with Bright Blessings Birth Services.
Renee is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Archaeology. Before doula work, she lived a bit of the Indiana Jones life on the East Coast, deeply invested in preserving history, culture, and the stories people leave behind.
That preservation thread is part of what makes her work with families feel so fitting now. Renee is moving from preserving history toward preserving women’s autonomy, dignity, and emotional steadiness through the childbearing year.
Renee has also been taking time as a new mother herself. As she continues growing into birth work, she is especially interested in postpartum support, including the emotional and mental health needs that can come with the postpartum season.
Renee is certified in Adult Mental Health First Aid USA through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Her certification became effective August 21, 2025, remains valid through August 21, 2028.
Bright Blessings is honored to have Renee as part of the collective as she continues her doula education and shadowing.
