Bright Blessings is growing into a small collective of Certified Community-Based Doulas, joined by student doulas on the path to certification. Together, we serve families across North Central Arkansas, Central Arkansas, and the Upper Delta. Each doula’s bio includes her current geographic coverage range.
In fall 2026, all four Bright Blessings doulas are beginning ALPP Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) training so lactation support can keep growing alongside doula care.

Angela “Annie” Hill, CCBD #005
Enrolled Arkansas Medicaid doula provider. Now accepting Arkansas Medicaid clients. Request Medicaid doula care.
Arkansas Certified Community-Based Doula
Annie is the heart and grit behind Bright Blessings: a retired home birth midwife, certified doula, longtime doula educator, Certified Lactation Educator through Madriella, childbirth educator, and steady advocate for families who deserve clear information and real choices. She begins her ALPP Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) training in October 2026, and she is not afraid to put politicians, agency leaders, or CEOs on the spot when doulas and families need better from the systems around them.
Danielle Wright, CCBD #007

Renee Bertot
Student / Apprentice Doula
Renee is a student doula member of the Doula Alliance of Arkansas, a new mother, and a former archaeologist who once lived a bit of the Indiana Jones life on the East Coast. After years focused on preserving history, she is now drawn toward preserving women’s autonomy through postpartum support and postpartum mental health.
Paula Branam
Student Doula
Paula is a former educator and paraprofessional from Northern Michigan who spent more than two decades supporting children and families, including years of one-on-one work with students with special needs.
